Earth Hour was first created in 2004 by Australia’s World Wide Fund. Discovering the impact of using electricity on the planet, the organization made the idea to switch off all the electricity on a large scale, for an entire hour. And in this case, Sydney was the first one to do it. With its success, other cities followed suit.
It is an event that reminds us that taking care of our planet isn’t just worth an hour, while it helps, it would still be a greater impact when we work together and make concrete solutions to help preserve the Earth.
