What we eat and what we don’t affects our planet greatly. The goal of Stop Food Waste Day is to raise awareness about this impact.

Initiated by the Compass Group in 2017, they aim to “aims to educate people about their food waste and create impactful solutions to how people farm, produce, purchase, and use food.” Also, they cited the possibility of having “25% of the food produced globally to feed 795 million hungry people in the world.”
